A walk in field of social service

Xavier International College aims at making students not only a talented student but also a good citizen. For the same purpose it has started a trend in it's A levels stream where students form a group of 4-5 people who serve 120 hours in the society as social service in a year. This year the students of A2 have decided to take these social service to a new level. They look forward to  serve in society for making hearts happy and their efforts worthy.
Teenage Society of Nepal ( TSN ) is a group of teens who believe that they can bring change in society from an early age itself.  President of the society Sachin Dangi (meronamsachinho) was informed about a girl suffering from blood cancer who had a very weak economic condition on a weekly meeting of club by a Facebook group MWRR2.
Manisha Bohora, permanent residence of  baglung suddenly fell ill few days before her exams of grade 4 and then was taken to a nearby health check up camp from where she was referred to Kanti Bal Hospital. Here she was reported to have suffered from blood cancer. Her family had a very poor economic condition. Thus TSN decided to help her.
TSN was given arms by social service group of A2 " The Horizons" and entire xavierians notable names were Binod Khadka, Subista Dhowju, Mousham Bhattarai, Darpan Dahal and Abhilekh Bhurtel. These students from Xavier International College formed a pack and then came up with a creative way to collect donation. They bought a pen of Rs.10 and sold it to all students in Rs.25. This proposal was accepted by the college principle Mr.Govinda Ghimire in no time, who quoted " this a noble cause, go forward." . The students were so committed to help that they gave more than 25 for each pen. The teachers of the college helped to raise donations by directly donating amount of money that was feasible for them. In a time of a day an amount of Rs.15,885 was collected from Xavier International College.

This collected amount was handed over to TSN. All together TSN was able to raise Rs.26,885 to help Manisha. TSN gave a thank you note to Xavier International College in there weekly meeting that followed, which was read by club members of "The Horizon" on behalf of the college, which read as " We thank Xavier International College with our inner heart for it's cooperation that it showed to us for collecting donation.  Without the support of Xavier we would never have been able to raise this amount. … ".
Donation was handed over to Manisha and her family in their temporary residence at maharjung. While taking the donation victim's father told " I am really happy and would like to thank you all for the effort you have shown to support my child, college students like you do not earn yourself instead of that the amount you have collected for my daughter is really appreciable."As a whole the objectives were fulfilled and the project was successful. "The horizon " and TSN look forward to do other projects that will inspire and motivate mankind  to help others.
